SMS Costruzioni Generali S.p.A. is a leading company in San Marino in the building sector, founded in 1978 with the name of San Marino Strade s.a. thanks to the passion and impressive commitment of partners Ambrogio Rossini and Marino Rossi.

Its main activity in the early years was the construction of roads, aqueducts, sewers and the distribution of methane gas; vital public works that the State San Marino needed in the 1970s-80s.

Subsequently, the Company expanded its operations to become a general construction group, implementing public and private works and infrastructures. Thanks to the skills acquired over the years and exceptional professional experience, in March 2000 SMS Costruzioni Generali S.p.A. decided to open a stable organisation in Italy with head offices in Rimini in order to offer its experience to Italy itself and also further extend its operating and market spheres. Constant growth of the company and its determination to achieve even stronger entrepreneurial qualification stimulated continual comparisons with new technologies and the market both in the Republic of San Marino itself and in the overall context of the Italian market.

The primary objective of SMS Costruzioni Generali S.p.A. today is to invest in human resources and new technologies to ensure constant competitiveness in all markets and satisfy client requirements in the best possible way.
